Description
A paste wax made for the two materials we work with every day: iron and wood. On iron hardware it seals the finish and helps protect against the moisture and handling that lead to rust and spotting. On wood it feeds the surface and brings out the grain.
It comes in two colors. Clear leaves the finish or wood tone underneath exactly as it is. Black adds a darkened, aged depth — it deepens iron finishes and darkens wood in one step.
Offered in 1, 2, 4, and 8 ounce sizes, so you can order a little for touch-ups or enough for a whole kitchen’s worth of hardware. Reapply as needed to keep surfaces protected and looking their best.
Specs: – Sizes: 1oz, 2oz, 4oz, 8oz – Colors: Clear, Black – Use: protecting and finishing iron hardware and wood surfaces
Heirloom-Quality Finishes: Using only the highest-quality products, our finishes are both beautiful and durable, letting the craftsmanship of our handwork shine while standing up to high-traffic, moisture-prone areas like baths and appliance pulls. By combining zero-VOC undercoats with hardening wax, we create a richer, deeper finish than paint — one that can be reapplied at any time to restore its original luster. Unlike other coatings that chip or fade, this finish keeps surfaces looking their best. Tested hundreds of times over years, it’s proven to be the most durable and beautiful choice available.
Oil Blackened: Satin black with light touches of grey, this finish allows the texture and forge work to come through. Our black oxide process penetrates into the metal, actually changing the color of the iron itself. This results in a deep, rich satin black that adds depth and character to the piece.
Brushed Steel: This finish lies between a nickel/pewter hue with a satin sheen. It goes well with both modern and rustic decor. This is not a high shine, factory gloss kind of look. Some forge scale will be present which gives this finish a slightly antiqued / hand forged quality.
Brass Brushed: This finish is achieved by heating the piece and hand brushing using a solid brass bristle brush. The brass integrates with the steel creating a very durable and amazingly beautiful darkened brass/bronze coloration. The brush strokes are visible, contributing a visual texture to this timeless look.

I reached out to Element and was happy to say that the response was almost immediate.
My question was regarding rust on a bathroom vanity handle. It was recommended that I use Metal and Wood Paste Wax after cleaning the handles.
I happy to report that the handles cleaned up beautifully and are now protected with the wax.
I highly recommend this product.
