Using only the highest-quality products, our finishes are both beautiful and durable, letting the craftsmanship of our handwork shine while standing up to high-traffic, moisture-prone areas like baths and appliance pulls.
By combining zero-VOC undercoats with hardening wax, we create a richer, deeper finish than paint—one that can be reapplied at any time to restore its original luster. Unlike other coatings that chip or fade, this finish keeps surfaces looking their best. Tested hundreds of times over years, it’s proven to be the most durable and beautiful choice available.

Oil Blackened:
Satin black with light touches of grey, this finish allows the texture and forge work to come through. Our black oxide process penetrates into the metal, actually changing the color of the iron itself. This results in a deep, rich satin black that adds depth and character to the piece.

Brushed Steel:
This finish lies between a nickel/pewter hue with a satin sheen. It goes well with both modern and rustic decor. this is not a high shine, factory gloss kind of look. Some forge scale will be present which gives this finish a slightly antiqued/hand forged quality.

Brass Brushed:
This finish is achieved by heating the piece and hand brushing using a solid brass bristle brush. The brass integrates with the steel creating a very durable and amazingly beautiful darkened brass/bronze coloration. The brush strokes are visible, contributing a visual texture to this timeless look.

Element Hardware provides free quotes based solely on the following information: rod length, finish, and finial choice.

Determining factors such as total lengths, bracket/mounting locations, trim clearances, or installation layout are the responsibility of the client. Consultation on these factors is available at a rate of $125 per hour.

Element Hardware assumes no responsibility for incorrect measurements, mounting mismatches, or improper installations. All dimensions and installation details must be verified by the client prior to fabrication.

Rods exceeding 80″ in total length will be fabricated in two equal sections and joined at the midpoint. A center support bracket is required for structural stability, and an additional fee applies for this configuration. Maximum Rod Length is 170″
