U Pull – Hammered

DIMENSIONS:

The total projection is 1″-1.5″ depending on size selected. Clearance is .85″-1.125″ from cabinet face. Length measurements vary by approximately .35″ and are based on hole center to center measurements. All dimensions vary slightly as these are hand forged items. Price is per piece. Thickness of material used is as follows in either square or round steel: 3/8″ solid steel up to 12″ 1/2″ solid steel for above 12″.

SCREWS INCLUDED! Standard screw length is 1″ and will fit most cabinets which are .75″ thick. If you require longer or shorter screws please add the size you’d like in the notes section upon checkout.

IMPORTANT:

Items are hand made using traditional blacksmithing techniques, therefore no two are exactly the same. Small variations in dimensions and shape may be present in each piece. Items may vary from photos slightly. These variations only add to the unique beauty of each piece, and are a testament to their authenticity as hand forged items. If you have pre drilled holes in your cabinets these will not work as each one varies in size. No jigs can be used when mounting. Seller not responsible for damage to mounting surfaces.

BRUSHED STEEL FINISH:

This is a brushed steel satin finish that goes well with both modern and rustic decor. It is not a high shine, factory gloss kind of look. Some forge scale will be present. While it does have a slight shine, it is not polished steel. It is however wonderfully unique, and offers a truly handmade feel that you can’t find with mass produced items. After wire brushing, I add a no VOC clear coat which provides a barrier to help prevent corrosion and bring out the natural beauty of the hand worked metal. (For outdoor use, message me BEFORE ordering to add a coat of spar urethane.)

OIL BLACKENED FINISH:

This satin black finish allows the texture and forge work in the steel to come through, whereas paint covers the natural beauty of the hand worked texture of the steel and is prone to chipping. We use an oxidation process that provides an extra layer of corrosion protection while offering a deeper, more authentic blacksmith finish. If you are planning on using your pulls for outdoor use, I recommend a coat of polyurethane for added protection. Please message me to request this before ordering (extra fee applies)!

BRASS BRUSHED FINISH:

This finish is achieved by heating the steel and brushing using a real brass bristle brush. The brass integrates with the steel creating a very durable and amazingly beautiful gold brushed look.
